Sacred Expressive

Celebrating and Expressing a Heart-Centered Life

About Sacred Expressive

January12

In late 2009 I discovered my Style Statement – “Sacred Expressive”. As a result, I discovered an effective compass for living my life by identifying what is truly sacred to me.

I began decluttering all parts of my life. It was so much easier to look at an object that I disliked but felt I needed to hold onto and say “Is this really sacred to me?” No! Out it went, to the trash, to Goodwill, or to someone who I knew would appreciate it.

I looked at my business and thought about the different aspects of it. If I didn’t feel in my heart that a service or product felt authentic and truly felt good to me, I had to let it go.

In my relationships, it’s been a lot easier for me to create boundaries between my personal and professional lives by remembering what’s sacred. It’s easier for me to shut my laptop down and stop working when the kids are home. And, during those times when work is necessary when everyone is in the house, it’s easier for the kids to accept when they see and understand why I’ve chosen in the moment to work to meet a deadline.

This is a venue to explore what’s sacred and guide others who desire to live more deliberately and intentionally. This site is a place for small business owners who struggle to get into the groove of creating a business that serves their life rather than runs it. It’s a place for parents who want to raise their kids in a more conscious, personal way rather than how the predominant culture tells us to. This is a place to find inspirational expressions – quotes, videos, links to articles and resources – to lift the spirit rather than pull it down. And there will be so much more.

My passion is to help women manifest freedom from conformity in all areas of their lives. I’ve acquired a variety of skills to help women do so:

  1. As a childbirth educator, birth doula and inspired birth coach, I help women during pregnancy who not only desire a natural birth, but who desire a birth that is easy, comfortable, and joyous.
  2. I’m a life coach who guides people within themselves and helps them define what their sacred expressions are, so they can live authentically and stand in their truth.
  3. I coach childbirth professionals who are starting and growing their practices. By supporting professionals who serve women during the childbearing year, I am fulfilling a desire to reach as many women as possible to have informed choices and empowered birth experiences.
  4. As a Reiki Master I use energy and stones to encourage self-healing on all levels – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

I am so glad you’re here and invite you to share your sacred journey with me. Connect with me on Twitter, and submit comments on posts. If you’re a childbirth professional, I invite you to connect with me on Facebook (let me know you’re a birth pro), and if you’re an expectant mama and want to learn more about how to have a gentle, joyous birth, become a fan of my Facebook page.

Here’s to living a conscious, inspired and sacred life.

Your Comment:

What is sacred to you in your life? Pondering this question can open up a lot for you. Making room for what’s sacred allows you to see the people you love in a new way. It helps you prioritize and allows you to more easily say “Yes!” to that which matters and “No!” to the things that don’t.

This is a place where I express my perspectives of the Sacred — that which is sacred to me. I explore topics such as parenting, birth, personal development, and doing one’s life work in an authentic way. I hope this site will serve as a portal for those who are ready to define their own version of “Sacred”.
