Celebrating and Expressing a Heart-Centered Life

The Power of What’s Sacred

January1

I received a number of gifts from 2009. One of the most powerful gifts came as the result of playing with words while working on my Style Statement. After attending a Fire Starter with Danielle LaPorte of the White Hot Truth, I was inspired to discover the two words that could potentially be a guiding statement for my life.

After a couple weeks, my Style Statement was unearthed – Sacred Expressive. In a moment, these two words acknowledged and validated a lifetime of growth and learning, and it is now the namesake of this website.

My intent is to share topics, stories, and resources that fit into what I’d define as Sacred  –meaningful, important, awe-inspiring and more– to me. What I hope results from the posts written for this site is inspired action taken by readers to discover what is Sacred to them.

What is the “Power of What’s Sacred”?

Sacred is–

  • what you look at in your life not with your eyes, but with your full heart.
  • what tugs at you, what you feel passion about.
  • what you value.
  • what you love.
  • what is meaningful to you.
  • what makes you laugh, smile, love, cry, feel joy and gratitude.
  • what you will say “Yes!” to.
  • what you will say “No!” for.
  • what drives your beliefs.
  • what makes you feel abundant.
  • what you appreciate.
  • what helps to define you.
  • your truth.
  • what sets you free.

Imagine living a life with a compass to guide you. Knowing what matters most to you, what’s sacred in your life can be such a compass.

Join me in 2010 as I explore what’s sacred to me – being a conscious parent and wife, a compassionate advocate for gentle birth, an authentic business owner with a purpose to serve, and an ever-curious learner here to e-x-p-a-n-d my awareness through personal development. I hope you’ll be inspired to expand your own awareness and discover the power that knowing what’s sacred to you can bring to your life.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit again! Please add to the discussion by adding a comment, and subscribe to Sacred Expressive to ensure you receive the latest updates.

Your Comment:

What is sacred to you in your life? Pondering this question can open up a lot for you. Making room for what’s sacred allows you to see the people you love in a new way. It helps you prioritize and allows you to more easily say “Yes!” to that which matters and “No!” to the things that don’t.

This is a place where I express my perspectives of the Sacred — that which is sacred to me. I explore topics such as parenting, birth, personal development, and doing one’s life work in an authentic way. I hope this site will serve as a portal for those who are ready to define their own version of “Sacred”.
